Message I am just enjoying the nice day, decide to turn down the main street in a city where there is this short tunnel under a train track bridge... Now, I just put 3" exhaust on the Z, so I proceed to slow down...

I blast from 20mph, in 2nd gear just a little. Oh yeah, sounds awesome! Next thing I see? - SEAT BELT CHECK right after the tunnel with an officer standing in the road with his arm out "STOP RIGHT THERE" (surprise!). I pull over to get out of the traffics way (being courteous) and he is YELLING at me to stop in the middle of the street! "what the hell" I am thinking. Runs up to me yelling: "When I tell you to stop, STOP", I tell him "Sorry, I just wanted to get out of the way of traffic" he wanted me to stop traffic to check seatbelts I suppose...

Anyways, upon discussing with him. I was displaying (in his words): "excessive noise, even though It sounds really good, I know how it is, but you can't do that". Also... I was speeding! (Show me the radar reading officer! - Nope), so, upon discussing with him, after getting yelled at, he realizes I am a pretty decent guy, with no violations at all in my car... I explain how I just finished building the car, etc, and how intimidated I felt by his attitude as I felt he was 'profiling me as some young punk' (bull shit, I just didn't want a ticket!). He then proceeds to ask me: "What is that sway bar [Strut bar] in the back?", I exclaim it is chassis bracing for when I take my car to the track as I choose to drive it responsibly on the street and use my cars full potential in the correct environment (Justifying my responsibility). Ends up, he lets me off my "speeding violation" - yeah, like he could prove that in traffic court anyways with no radar, thanks anyways buddy...

Here's the kicker!... Two days later I am going through a Roadside Drinking-and-Driving check, after going through (clean, I don't drink and drive), I hear from across the street: "Hey! You're the guy with the nice Yellow car! Have a good night eh!", I say "Yeah, you too!" being nice, which was kinda funny/cool, sure wish he let me off that noise violation though. haha, well, car sounds too good anyways! It's hard to not tunnel blast in the Z!
